Lawrence van Lingen is back on the pod

By April 4, 2025June 20th, 2025No Comments

Today’s episode is different than usual for The Extramilest Show, with movement specialist Lawrence van Lingen and 3x Ironman 70.3 World Champion Taylor Knibb.

On this podcast, I typically interview endurance athletes, coaches and experts. We often discuss topics of how to become a stronger, healthier and happier athlete.

Recently I recorded a conversation where I interviewed Taylor Knibb at the home of our friend Lawrence, he is part of Taylors team.

After the conversation we half joked around for Taylor and Lawrence to record a conversation. The cameras, mics and lights were already set up, so why not ask a few questions. What followed was an amazing, honest back and forth between a World Class athlete and a World Class expert of the body and mind. An impromptu hour and a half chat that does cover a wide range of topics.

I really enjoyed this fully unscripted conversation and hope you do as well.

A few quotes from Extramilest Show #98 with Taylor Knibb & Lawrence van Lingen:

  • “Not many people get to live an authentic life and express themselves authentically. The quickest way to do that is change your environment. If people are feeling lost or picked on, the quickest thing I can tell that person is to get out of that environment and get into an environment where you’re loved and trusted and accepted.” -Lawrence
  • “If someone told you you can’t swim, bike or run for a year, you need to walk for an hour in the morning and night. Be kind to yourself, eat well and develop a strong community for a year and then you will have success. How many people would do that? Are you willing to do what it takes? Because often that’s confronting your deepest fears.” -Taylor
  • “First and foremost, you’re a human being. And that’s enough. Just being a human being is enough.” -Lawrence
