Building habits that stick!

By January 7, 2025June 20th, 2025No Comments

Hi,

It’s not the big leaps but the small steps that create lasting change.

That’s something I’ve learned firsthand and was reinforced in my recent conversation with Dr. Rangan Chatterjee.

One of his insights that stuck with me is the power of making habits simple and attaching them to what you’re already doing.

For example:

  • Don’t skip your workout just because you’re pressed for time. A 10-minute run counts! Done consistently, it builds momentum and keeps you on track.
  • While your morning coffee brews, do 10 squats, 10 lunges, and 10 calf raises. It only takes a few minutes, but over weeks, your legs will feel stronger and more resilient.
  • Start with walking warm-ups and cool-downs. It’s great for recovery and helps prevent injury.

One habit that I set for myself this January is to do 1 minute of mobility and 1 minute of strength training a day. Doesn’t sound like a lot but often the 1 minute leads to a bit longer, and reaching the 1 minute daily helps me keep the momentum going

Simple steps, but powerful results.

Dr. Chatterjee’s advice isn’t just for fitness — it’s a reminder that progress comes from consistency and making things work with your life, not against it.
