Hi,
2025 is here and I want to start it off with a few of my favorite podcast episodes from 2024.
These episodes are packed with lessons that can challenge, motivate, and transform the way you think about running.
Plus, I’ve added my personal notes as well.
Courtney Dauwalter’s Advice To Improve Your Running
My favorite quote: “Every morning, I check in with all my systems – legs, emotions, stress – and let that guide my training.”
My note: Courtney’s approach reminds me to tune in and really listen to our bodies. When you check in and adjust your runs daily based on how you feel, you’ll train smarter and prevent injuries, overtraining and burnout.
Eliud Kipchoge’s Top Running Tips for Athletes of All Levels
My favorite quote: “Self-confidence is like an umbrella. It won’t stop the rain, but it lets you keep moving.”
My note: Eliud often talks about consistency and small steps daily to improve over time. You can build your confidence one run at a time – it’s your strongest tool for growth.
Massive Running Improvements with Lawrence van Lingen
My favorite quote: “Massive breakthroughs come when you relax into your running and let go of tension. It opens up a whole new world.”
My note: Relax, breathe, and let running feel natural. When you run without tension, you’ll discover the joy of flow and ease.
How To Crush MAF Low Heart Rate Training with Scott Frye
My favorite quote: “At first, low heart rate training is a mental challenge, not a physical one. But once you break through, it changes everything.”
My note: Some people have a hard time slowing down their running intensity, however once you learn the joy of slowing down and not rushing through your runs (and your life), a whole new world can open up.
These episodes have helped me a lot, and I know they can do the same for you!
Here’s to a strong 2025!
Cheers,
Floris Gierman
